Here's the story.

We started the chapter on waves, and I brought in this gadget to show the class.

I got the idea from an AM radio transmitter I built last year, which worked on the same idea. (Replace the laser with an oscillator, and it turns into an AM transmitter.)

Another week goes by and we do the exact same thing in a lab!
Mrs. Northerner can verify this story. Also note that there are several differences in our implimentations. (Mrs. Northerner used a bias circuit, an LED, and a solar panel, while I used a transformer, laser, and a photoresistor.)
